Born in Walsrode, grew up in Benefeld and Bomlitz: Jens Reinbold not only grew up with the Walsroder Zeitung, but also used to be part of the reporting himself – as a long-time Germania Walsrode league player. While studying biology and environmental sciences in Göttingen and Lüneburg, he also worked as a freelancer for “his home newspaper” before completing an internship there in the late 1990s.

As a sports editor for the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung, he then experienced countless Bundesliga soccer games, motorsport events and the 2010 Hanover Scorpions ice hockey championship first hand – before he returned to his home country a little later (newspaper).

At WZ, Jens Reinbold, as deputy editor-in-chief, takes care of the Bomlitz community and the city of Walsrode, as well as regional politics. Back to the roots – that also applies to the place of residence: the father of two children lives in Benefeld again today. At least when he’s not driving through France with the family in a motorhome.
