The accident occurred as pupils at an elementary school in northern Tasmania celebrated the end of classes before the Christmas holidays and the castle fell from a height of ten meters, blown away by a strong wind.

The school said on its Facebook page that “there was an accident at our school site. We are closing the school for the rest of the day,” and asked parents to pick up their children “urgently.”
