The 2022 FIFA World Cup ended in Qatar on Sunday 18 December. Argentina national team won the trophy defeated France in the final on penalties.
For the victory at the World Cup, the Argentine national team earned 42 million euros. France, in turn, took a check for 30 million, Croatia 27 million and Morocco 25 million.
Compared to the previous world championships, the prize money amount for the 2022 World Cup has increased. In 2014 it amounted to €358m, while at the 2018 World Cup the teams distributed €400m. In 2022, the total prize pool amounted to 440 million euros.

- Netherlands, England, Brazil, Portugal – 17 million euros each

- Ecuador, Qatar, Iran, Wales, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Denmark, Germany, Costa Rica, Belgium, Canada, Cameroon, Serbia, Uruguay, Ghana – €9 million each
