As is well known, Long Katinka recently underwent a coronavirus infection that significantly delayed her preparation.

The three-time Olympic, nine-time world and fifteen-time European champion swimmer fell short of expectations in Tokyo this year, so she definitely wanted to improve in the near future to show her shape.
However, like many athletes, the coronavirus infection significantly pushed him back, as he was unable to attend training due to quarantine. And, according to Long Katinka, he got into the World Cup.
Katinka indicated in her post on her official Instagram page that she has always loved short-track competitions and would like to start at the short-track World Cup after this year’s Olympics to pull the Hungarian colors back in an international competition, but this is not possible now:
“Unfortunately, I will not travel to Abu Dhabi for the World Cup with the Hungarian national team this year, this is the smartest decision after my COVID illness”
announced the Olympic champion.
At the end of the post, Katinka a long-time wish a lot of success to the traveling Hungarian national team, from which she will now be left out. It is a question for the time being whether he will travel to the next World Cup or whether this would have been his last chance.
