The birth of a public surgical center goes hand in hand with important changes, both at the Samuel-Pozzi hospital center and at the Pasteur clinic.
To welcome, by 2023, the public-private surgical center of Begeracois, which will mark the pooling of the activities of the Samuel-Pozzi hospital and the Pasteur clinic, “we will have to make an extension”, indicates Corinne Mothes, director. from the Bergerac hospital center (Dordogne).

It is planned as an extension of the hospital’s new technical platform, on a right-of-way currently occupied by a small car park. “We will add a module to it,” she describes, “to make additional block rooms. “
This extension will be coupled with internal relocations, “on the establishment’s land reserve”. This will be the case in particular for medical consultations and the medical day hospital. “The first studies have started: users will be able to express their needs in order to refine the specifications. “
The transfer to the hospital of the surgery performed at the clinic will also lead to changes. “The reflection was carried out to strengthen downstream care,” explains Marc Baransade, director of the clinic.
