An expression of our national sympathy

Opposite Dunakeszi Grand Station, next to the former Pavilion, the colonnade surrounding our beautiful Trianon monument has been worn down over the years. It was time for the renovation, which with the support of Mayor Csaba Dióssi, the cooperation of Deputy Mayor Márton Nyíri, and the help of Közüzemi Kft. With selfless work, Péter Bartinai engraved the names of the most important cities of the parts of the territory that were torn off in 1920 into the columns.

This monument was erected by the Local Patriot Association of Dunakeszi in 2005. The creation István Demeter made by a sculptor from Székelyudvarhely. It shows that although the country is broken into several pieces, the tilted Holy Crown nevertheless holds the nation together. At the inauguration of the monument Imre Makovecz gave a speech.

Sunday afternoon, October 15, 2023 István Skripeczki and colleagues, in the presence of nearly 80 residents of Dunakesz, we inaugurated the new colonnade made of oak wood, which commemorates our 58 stranded city outside our borders and helps us remember our 1,100-year history.

The celebration was highlighted by the presence of distinguished guests who shared their thoughts on the event: Imre Kozma father, founder and leader of the Maltese Charity Service, pastors of the churches in Dunakeszi: Katalin Chikán, Pál Ecseri, Dr. Tamás Kodacsy.

Lessons and warnings for today Péter Bartinai summed it up Wass Albert quoting his message: It is not important who brings how much money to the country,
but how much good, beautiful and useful things can be done for the Hungarian community!
The quote by János Arany is similarly thought-provoking:

“If us time flies thunderstorm: no it will be To God never again Hungarian.”

The festive speech József Csákó, the honorary citizen of our city said, from which we highlight some thoughts. This was a peace decree! Two-thirds of Hungary was divided between the neighboring states, we lost 11 million inhabitants, 35% of whom were of Hungarian nationality. The truncated Hungary found itself in a hopeless economic situation. Nearly half a million Hungarians were chased away from the annexed territories by foreign powers. Regarding the affiliation of the territories, the powers that decide on us abstained from referendums, only in the case of Sopron it could be held.

On June 4, 1920, bells rang, factory sirens sounded, schools and offices ordered a mourning break, flags were lowered to half-mast, traffic stopped for 10 minutes, and shops were closed. It was the day of mourning.
According to József Csákó, we must analyze what and why it happened, we must face the facts. At that time, the Monarchy not only suffered a military defeat, but the tragedy was caused by the conspiracy of the Károlyis and Béla Kun, i.e. the internal enemy.

What can we do? We must wake up and inspire our compatriots. We have to get back on our feet with a strong Hungarian will, with that certain Hungarian virtue. For this, we need self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-confidence. Only the nation that can rise from the blow has a future. Only the country has borders, but the nation does not! Let’s visit the Hungarians of the separated areas, which fills us with a cathartic experience, this is togetherness.
Think about it, what will happen to our grandchildren in 20-30 years?! Our responsibility is not small! Will there be enough Christian-minded Hungarians in the Carpathian Basin?

The mood of the event Vilmos Guttman was founded by his shocking poetry, and then further strengthened it Golden Eve his song and came from Transdanubia Enikő Szabó and Beat Csaba (vocal-guitar) performance. After the speeches and blessings, we lit the flame of togetherness, and then the majority of those present walked along the colonnade reading the names of the cities.
