In the Polish city of Poznan around midnight there was an explosion in an apartment building, after which a strong fire broke out.

After the explosion, the fire quickly spread to all floors and the roof of an adjacent building was also engulfed.
It was unofficially reported that a gas cylinder exploded in the basement, but firefighters did not confirm this information. The force of the explosion was so great that it killed the firefighters who were the first to go there to put out the fire.
“We have 11 injured firefighters, we are looking for two more firefighters, we do not know their fate fully,” said fire service spokesman Jozef Galica.

In addition to the 11 firefighters, the resident of the house and two passers-by were also injured.
More than a dozen fire brigades were fighting the fire. The police and army guards also reached the scene.
20 residents were evacuated from a house that caught fire. Another 100 people are from nearby houses.
Building officials said the building where the fire occurred is in need. All the roofs in it fell.
Once the building is secured, rescuers will be able to enter to find the missing colleagues.
