The Ministerial Decision for the Macedonian School of Higher Tourism Education (SAEK) to become the country’s first Experimental School for Higher Vocational Training in Tourism under the supervision of the Ministry of Tourism was signed by the Deputy Minister of Tourism Elena Rapti in collaboration with the Deputy Minister. Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports Ioanna Lytrivi.
This decision strengthens the integration of experimentation in tourism education that the Ministry of Tourism currently provides.
The Macedonian Tourism Experimental School is located in the educational hotel Xenia-Helios in Peraia, Thessaloniki.
From 2023, it has offered two experimental specializations: Travel and Tourism Executive and Hospitality Executive, specializing in the area of room management.
Educational, scientific and research expertise is provided by the Association of Tourist Bureaus of Macedonia-Thrace, the Chamber of Hellenic Hotels, and the Thessaloniki Convention Bureau.
