The Chirivella Soriano Foundation of Valencia hosts the World Press Photo 22 exhibition from 15 October to 6 November, the most prestigious photojournalism exhibition in the world and which collects the best photographs of 2021.
In its tenth edition, the images capture, above all, the consequences of the pandemic generated by the covid-19 virusand issues of international importance such as the genocide of Canada’s indigenous peoples, the fight against forest fires, the threat to the Amazon rainforest and its indigenous inhabitants whose lifestyles are threatened, and the best photographic stories on the planet.
In this edition all continents are represented, with the aim of telling the stories of the various regions. The World Press Photo is a selection of the best photos of journalism out of a total of 64,823 photographs and works in open format, presented by 4,066 photographers from 130 countries.
It organizes the Chirivella Soriano Foundation guided group tours on weekends. The price is the same as the normal ticket (5 euros per person) and they last 50 minutes. They are held in the morning at 10:30 and 11:30. Come early the same day, grab your ticket and sign up for the list.
The exhibition is located in the Palau Joan de Valeriola, very close to the Central Market (Calle Valeriola 13).
