Zapping Foot National Top 10: the most expensive trainers in history
Rennes want to strengthen their defense for next season, while their captain Damien Da Silva signed for OL a few weeks ago. While the Breton leaders have reportedly probed Arsenal and William Saliba for a possible arrival of the player loaned to Nice during the second part of the 2020-2021 season, it seems that the latter still have an eye towards England but are now targeting a ex-Liverpool player. As explained West France, it is the young defender Ozan Kabak who would appeal to the leaders of Stade Rennais.
Kabak approaching?
A member of German club Schalke 04, Kabak was loaned to Liverpool in the second part of the 2020-2021 season, playing 9 games in total under German manager Jurgen Klopp. The young defender of 21 would therefore now be on the shelves of the Breton club, which could take advantage of Schalke’s difficult financial situation to sign Kabak, while the latter had been bought for 15 million euros from Stuttgart in 2019. It is this sum would now be requested by Schake, relegated to Bundesliga 2 at the end of this season. But beware because Rennes could be in competition with Leicester, Nice and Newcastle, also interested in the player.
An ex from Liverpool targeted by Rennes?
Stade Rennais would be interested in a former Liverpool player, loaned to the Mersey club during the second part of the 2020-2021 season. Belonging to Schalke 04, the player could well strengthen the ranks of Rennes next season.
