Electric cars and plug-in hybrids are very popular in the Netherlands. People don’t have a bad time there, there are chargers on every corner and the road network connects all the big cities. PUSH hydrogen also makes senseas we tried ourselves.

However, some Jeroen Willems decided to build an electric car directly and he chose a very unconventional car. Many of you sent it away in the military and it is still being sold as new. It is an ancient Buchanka, responsible for the Uljanovský car plant.

As usual, the car has a four-cylinder 2.7-liter with an output of almost 113 horsepower, a five-speed manual and a reduction. However, Willems moved the unit out and replaced it with a 150-horsepower Nissan electric motor, which he connected to the vehicle’s transmission.

That means electricity Buchanka although it does not shift and drive in one gear, it retains rear wheel drive with the ability to engage the front.

The CATL lithium-ion traction battery, originally designed for Mercedes, is built into the vehicle’s frame and has a capacity of 70 kWh. Depending on the rebuild, the car can travel up to 300 km on a single charge. The charging speed is then 60 kW, so you can fully charge the battery in an hour or two.

At least there are changes on the dashboard of the car, except for multimedia touch screenswhere there is also information about the state of the trust.

Inside the four seater interior you will also find a black and white checkered floor, wooden furniture, two double beds, fridge, kitchen, sun roof, table, stove, sink and cupboards.

You can also buy the ETARKI Solar Camper 4×4. The basis of the seven-seat Buchanka version with ABS, which will take the custom away from rocking and turn it into an electric motorhome, or make other changes on request.

Only the price is not low. Without VAT, including the donation car, we are talking about 110,000 euros, which is almost 2.8 million crowns. In the Czech Republic, the new petrol Buchanka costs CZK 577,000 without VAT, or CZK 894,000 without VAT in a comparable residential version with a raised roof.
