Singer Marta Grigale, or simply Marta, has released the song “A Movie I Don’t Want to See”, which is the first single from her upcoming second album. “I hope the next song will be happier, but now it’s like that,” Marta said on social media.
For the day-bright Martha, the song “A Movie I Don’t Want to See” is unnaturally heavy today, but it’s understandable – such a time… “When the war started in Ukraine, I felt emotionally devastated. I am aware that my experiences, watching the situation from the sidelines, are not comparable to what people are experiencing there, but I have never experienced such fear, anger, despair and helplessness, ”admits the musician. “To take a break from reading the news for a while, I was sitting at the piano, but I still couldn’t think of anything else. It became “A Movie I Don’t Want to See” – a movie that none of us want to see. “
JJ Lush has performed the voice recording, as well as the production, mixing and mastering of the single, while Kate Ozoliņa has created the video. To meet both listeners and live performances of this and other songs, Marta is invited to a concert in Līgatne, Zeit Creative Quarter, on April 30.
