An emergency mode (emergency) was introduced in the city of Nakhodka, Primorsky Territory, due to an explosion in a boiler room. This was reported by the Governor of the region Oleg Kozhemyako, reports RIA News.

According to him, after the explosion, an emission of 2.5 thousand tons of fuel oil occurred. The territory of the boiler room is flooded, part of the fuel oil fell on the ice in the lake. “The heating system of Nakhodka will not be violated, the boilers are operating normally, there are oil reserves. Now we have to eliminate the consequences, ”added the head of Primorye.

Kozhemyako clarified that work to eliminate the consequences of the accident will take several days. Fuel oil that gets on the ice and freezes there will be taken to a landfill for burning.
