Aren’t you afraid to speak in an assembly? Or do you just want to test your eloquence skills in front of a jury before taking an oral exam? The opportunity is given to you with this competition organized by the city council of young Dracénois. The event aims to promote and encourage the practice of public speaking and rhetorical art. It also prepares young people for public speaking: a skill assessed during the university certificate and the oral exam.
A voucher worth 200 euros
Aimed at young people aged 15 to 25 residing in the Dracénie area, the competition will take place in several phases. After completing a registration form (1), candidates will in fact have to make a short video presentation (maximum 2 minutes) of a topic of their choice, to be presented in full on the day of the final which should be held on February 10, at the Esplanade theater in Draguignan . The candidates selected at the end of the pre-selection phase will then be invited to present their briefs, before a jury composed of seven members: an elected official from the municipality of Draguignan, an elected official from the Dracénie Provence Verdon agglomeration (DPVA) and an outsider from five personalities. Among the criteria evaluated: the quality of the oral expression and of the argumentation but also the presentation which includes the attitude towards the jury, respect for speaking time and gestures. The results of the competition, for their part, will be communicated after the passage of all the candidates. The 1st prize is a voucher of 200 euros. To your applications!
