RIYADH: The Saudi Football Federation decided on Thursday to postpone the match of the Al-Nasr team, which includes Portuguese international star Cristiano Ronaldo, with his visiting team Al-Ta’i, in the Saudi Professional League (Roshen League).
The match should have been played on Thursday, as part of the 12th leg of the competition, at the stadium (Marsool Park), but it was decided to postpone it due to bad weather, which compromised the electricity supply to the stadium.
And Al-Nasr Club wrote through its account on the social communication site “Twitter”: “Due to the occurrence of some electrical failures in the match stadium after the rain, Al-Nasr Club has received the decision to postpone the Al-Nasr and Al-Ta’i match, so that the match will be held tomorrow, Friday.
The Saudi capital, Riyadh, has been seeing continuous rains for about 5 days.
Al-Nasr have 26 points from 11 games and lead the Saudi League table, one point ahead of their closest opponent, Al-Shabab, who have played ten games.
Al-Nasr have won 8 times, drawn twice and lost just once out of 11 Saudi League matches this season.
After facing Al-Taei, Al-Nasr will play Al-Shabab and Al-Ettifaq in the league, before facing Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup in the first iteration of the new league system.
