On the one hand Rafik Boumargoud, 35, from Colmar. On the other, Larbi Anouz, two years his senior, born in Nancy. The first worked in transport and logistics; the second, in banking and wealth management. “We met in an association for the education of young people in Nancy” they say. “We share the same values and we are above all very complementary”.

Eleven selected in the Grand Est
If Rafik is a very handy man, Larbi handles numbers very well: together, they are at the head of Towbe Bike, one of the eleven start-ups selected to participate in the French Tech Tremplin Incubation program in the region. “We want to revolutionize the way we deliver our groceries. We noted, during the first confinement, that many people were neglected, even in the city center ”. How then to replace utilities which “consume, pollute and are very expensive”?

The last mile
In e-commerce, the last mile refers to the final phase of delivering a package. The last link in the logistics chain from a warehouse to the customer, these last thousand meters often prove to be a real headache.
The project, imagined from a blank page, wants to reduce this problematic distance. “Our idea was to offer rapid delivery without CO2 emissions, practical, economical and sustainable”.

Rafik Boumargoud and Larbi Anouz are already in the saddle to present their prototype to mass distribution players and local merchants. “We have even planned to be able to offer advertising space on all three sides of the trailer.” The tandem is well underway!
