The police were called to a house in Váchartyán on February 12 because the elderly woman living there had severely damaged her partner’s car. Previously, a dispute arose between them regarding the financial support of the man’s daughter. Minor and major disputes, friction, and even violence were not rare in the life of the couple – writes Tények.hu.
The man wanted to stop the woman, but he gave her an ultimatum: if she tries to leave, he will smash her car. However, he did not wait for the decision, with a stick and an ax in hand, he started circling around the vehicle standing in the yard, shouting.
The man took the ax from her, so the woman started hitting the windshield, rear-view mirrors, lights, hood and fender with the stick. According to the owner, the damage is half a million HUF.
During her interrogation, the woman admitted what she had done:
Unfortunately, the argument escalated to the point where I smashed his car with a piece of wood in my hand, I was angry, I completely lost my mind
– testified the woman, who regretted her action.
The police ended the proceedings against the elderly woman on the basis of the well-founded suspicion of the crime of vandalism, and handed over the documents of the case to the prosecutor’s office with a proposal to indict her.
