A man in Britain who was stopped by police on the road said he had been driving without a driver’s license and insurance for more than 70 years.

During a patrol on Wednesday night, police stopped the man in Bullwell, Nottingham, the BBC reported, quoted by “Profit”.

According to police, the man, who was born in 1938, told them that he had been driving without papers and insurance since he was 12 years old and that he had never been stopped by police.

On Facebook, Bullwell, Rise Park and Highbury police said that fortunately he had never been involved in a car accident, had not injured anyone and had not caused financial loss to another driver for driving without insurance.

“Due to the increased number of traffic cameras in Nottingham, even if you drive short distances, you will probably be photographed, so put your documents in order, because the consequences of the violations will catch up with you one day,” police warned.

At the same time, an 81-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured after a car driven by a 98-year-old driver hit him on a footpath near the Croatian town of Labin, BTA reported.

The 98-year-old driver failed to stop on a footpath and hit the 81-year-old pedestrian. The injured man was taken to a hospital in the city of Pula, where he remained for treatment. The driver is accused of causing a traffic accident.

The police clarified that the driver’s license of the 98-year-old driver is valid.
