An elaborate ambush scores the suburb’s “first drug and gun dealer”!

After vigorous surveillance and intelligence and security work, a patrol from the Army Intelligence Directorate yesterday ambushed the entrance to Burj al-Barajneh camp. The first wanted of all security services, Palestinian Jihad Hassan Matar, born in 1995, being the number one drug and arms trafficker in Dahiyeh, Beirut and Baabda, as well as being composed of an armed gang accompanied by citizen Hassan Jaafar, who is active in the theft.”

Matar had planned and carried out the mass escape from the glasses of the Justice Palace in the year 2020, which resulted in the deaths of several people on the run, as well as his success in escaping with others before standing trial, for drug trafficking offenses and promotion, robbery, theft, and trade in military arms.

It is reported that he is wanted for the crimes of shooting, injuring people and escaping from prison.

He is also responsible for 190 judicial bulletins for the crimes of drug trafficking, transport of weapons and ammunition, shooting, robbery and theft.

During the arrest process, a number of people from his group of promoters fired military weapons from inside the camp and its entrance towards the patrol, to protest his arrest without causing any injuries.
