Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Social media activists circulated a video clip of the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Abdul Latif Al Sheikh, and what he said about the Egyptian army and its officers.
The video clip was published by the state-run Saudi Al-Ekhbariya channel on its official Twitter page, during the minister’s meeting with visitors to the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Qur’an in Medina.
In the video clip, Minister Abdul Latif Al Al-Sheikh can be heard saying: “An officer in the armed forces in Egypt, you are very precious.. Army officers in Egypt raise their heads…”, before the officer responds by saying: “May God keep you from being deprived of your Excellency.”
In the video clip, the Saudi minister is also heard saying: “May God protect and bless the president for you,” before the Egyptian officer repeats his saying, “Rina, let you be free from your Excellency.”
