An edition of Cocina Abierta dedicated to dulce de leche

The GustAr Program presents “Open Kitchen: Dulce de leche edition” In the month in which World Dulce de Leche Day is celebrated, -October 11-, a icon of Argentine gastronomy.

Open Kitchen will bring together producers of dulce de leche and related products, you can taste, buy and learn about the diversity of flavors and forms of production of these regional products.

At the event there will be several types of dulce de leche and prepared products such as pastries, alfajores and snacks. There will also be wines, liquors, cheeses, sausages, juices and infusions from the provinces of Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, Santa Fe, Río Negro and Salta.

In addition, there will be a sector with Argentine toys inspired by native animals so that spread the country’s attractions on par with the local production of dulce de leche.

Dulce de leche was recognized in 2002 by the Ministry of Culture of the Nation as “Food and Gastronomic Cultural Heritage of Argentina”for being typically Argentine and for its widespread consumption throughout the country.

This recognition highlights dulce de leche as one of the main culinary traditions of Argentinato be valued and promoted to international level focusing on its cultural importance and its relevance in the labor and economic sphere.

Open Kitchen It is a proposal framed in the program Likea joint initiative between the Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Sports, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, which seeks to revalue agri-food production, gastronomic tourism and food culture in the different regions of our country.
