An earthquake was felt on Saturday March 12 around 6 p.m. in Savoie, in the Mercury sector.
The central French seismological office noted in the Mercury sector (Savoie) a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale.
The earthquake was felt in several towns in the region, notably in Savoy, in Chambéry, Albertville and notably Moutier.
Recognition took place on several sites by the security services to detect any weaknesses in the buildings, in particular the chimneys.
