On Thursday, February 16, another earthquake of magnitude 5.1 struck the Turkish province of Hatay.
The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Mediterranean Sea at a depth of 9.26 km and 6 km from the city of Arsuz.
The governor of the region, Rahmi Dogan, said that so far the authorities have received no information about casualties or damage from the earthquake.
“Our forces continue to monitor the situation,” he said.
Recall that as of February 14, it was known that in Turkey as a result of the earthquakes that occurred on February 6, 35,418 people died. At the same time, 105,505 people were injured.
It also became known that the Turkish city of Nurdagi in the province of Gaziantep, which was badly damaged by the earthquake, will be completely demolished and rebuilt.
