From the Greater Lebanon River in the north to Ras al-Naqoura in the far south, with a length of 220 km, the Lebanese coast, which is rich in its marine properties, extends.
It is property that is permissible from all sides, with encroachments of millions of kilometers. It is represented by tourist facilities such as hotels, resorts, and even factories and homes, and of course it is protected from the roost of regionalism and de-facto forces.
The area of this property is 5 million square meters, half of which is usurped for free in the “country of all men Edo Elo”, where the brazen aggressors established their investments without any state license, and thus evaded paying taxes and fees for state-operated spaces.
While the other half of this property is licensed, but by virtue of the “free” rule, that is, the lease contracts and the dues for investment and operation do not exceed a few million in Lebanese pounds, as if time stopped at the date of the lease contract, as if the country had never entered into an acute economic crisis.
Worst of all, these investors collect their profits from resorts and other things in fresh dollars, depriving the treasury of its real dues and the ordinary citizen from enjoying state property.
