It is about a large amount of algae at the beginning of the southern beach in Primorsko. According to experts, one of the reasons is the almost complete lack of wind today, which helped the process, and also the high air temperatures. Accordingly, quite understandably, the space in question turned out to be the most undesirable for entering the water.
Generally, the month of August is when the algae bloom. The phenomenon is called eutrophication. This is a process occurring in the ecosystem, in which the amount of chemical substances involved in the mineral nutrition of plants increases, which in turn leads to increased biological productivity. In this so-called “water bloom”, certain types of algae develop profusely and rapidly increase the biomass.
