Tomorrow, Nantes moves to Clermont. If Kolo Muani realizes, like the Nantes, an interesting season, the Canaries striker places second in a very particular classification. “RKM” is the 2nd player in the championship to commit the most faults this season.
Surprising, isn’t it? In a championship often considered, no doubt rightly, to be physical and duel-oriented, it seems quite ironic that thee second player to commit the most fouls is an attacker. And yet. With 52 offenses this season, Randal Kolo Muani is currently the runner-up in the standings behind Lille’s Benjamin André. Victim of the famous syndrome of the clumsy attacker when it comes to defending, Kolo Muani is not a dangerous player for his opponents (at least not in this sense). Despite his total of faults committed, the Canary received only two small yellow cardsalmost anecdotal, this season.
A ranking dominated by midfielders
Apart from the Nantes striker, midfielders are the main players in this classification of fouls committed. If the battle for the title of biggest brawler this season seems to be between André (LOSC – 54 fouls to his credit) and Kolo Muani (FC Nantes – 52 fouls)they could be joined by Lucas Paquetà (OL – 45 fouls) Where Ibrahima Sissoko (RCSA – 44 fouls).
You have to dig a little deeper in this ranking to see another Ligue 1 striker. 8th with 41 fouls, Denis Bouanga (ASSE) is the second attacking player to appear in this top.
