A potentially dangerous asteroid will fly near Earth in mid-February, according to data from the NASA Center for Near Earth Object Studies. The celestial body has a diameter between 440 and 990 meters.

It is estimated that the asteroid, identified by NASA with the number 163373, will reach the maximum point of approach to our planet on February 15. The space body will approach the planet at a distance 15 times greater than that which separates the Earth from the Moon.
This asteroid, which was discovered on October 23, 1995, is part of the Apollo group, which includes those asteroids whose flight paths cross Earth’s orbit. For this reason they are also known as potentially dangerous cosmic bodies.
According to information from the Space Agency, the next time the asteroid flies near Earth will be in 55 years.
