The largest asteroid that kills the planet has been discovered hidden in the sunlight. The huge asteroid could cross the Earth’s orbit.
Named 2022 AP7, the 1.5-kilometer-wide space rock is the largest potentially dangerous asteroid ever discovered since 2014, which astronomers have called the planet’s killer, read in an article in The Guardian.

If such an asteroid were to hit our planet, it would have a devastating effect on life as we know it, sending dust and pollutants into the atmosphere. “The earth’s surface would likely cool significantly. It would be a mass extinction that hasn’t been seen for millions of years “ said Scott Sheppard, lead author of the study published in the Astronomical Journal.
He added that there is currently no possibility of the asteroid hitting our planet. It currently orbits in the region between Earth and Venus and many generations must pass before it can pose a threat to us.
