“Happiness by bike” , an associative and itinerant bicycle school was created this summer in Montpellier (Hérault). Supported by the rectorate and the prefecture, it goes to the city’s establishments to introduce CM1 / CM2 students to cycling in an urban environment. After the Périclès school in the Antigone district in September, the association organized its workshop at the Heidelberg school near the Mosson stadium. The association comes to schools with a trailer in which his little blue bikes are stored , helmets, and yellow vests for safe riding.

This Monday December 14th at Heidelberg School is the 3rd and last stage of the training. A real-life outing is offered, a few kilometers in the neighborhood in small groups of nine students. “Before that, the children learned to ride on a road safety track, to identify the signs, to make the right gestures” specifies Julien Cabardi the president of the association and trainer.

The association works for make Montpellier, where the weather is often very nice, a cycling city. She hopes that by training young children she will see the birth of a whole generation of followers of the little queen in a few years.
