People get vaccinated less in the northern districts of Marseille than in the rest of the city. The SEPT association is increasing prevention actions and vaccinating individuals at home.
Each week, Doctor Slim Hadiji, accompanied by a mediator, vaccinates around forty people in their living room. Go to patients, this is the mission of the association SEPT, Santé et Environnement Pour Tous.
A patient welcomes him to her home, “For the meeting at L’Estaque, I am in a wheelchair, I cannot move around,” she explains.
In the northern districts, one in four inhabitants has received a dose of the vaccine. In the 7th and 8th arrondissements, one inhabitant in two received this same dose, according to our colleagues from Marsactu, which speak of “vaccine fracture”.

The SEPT association, mandated by the ARS, is increasing the number of preventive actions in these neighborhoods. Doctor Hadiji’s patients are mainly elderly people, disabled people or mothers.
“We are around 3000 people vaccinated”, describes Doctor Hadiji, “A lot of people come to our health center. But other people are not able to go to vaccination centers or to their doctor. They come to my health mediator, report their difficulties and we go to their home. They are being vaccinated. “
The 13 mediators must also convince and fight against false information about the vaccine. “We are forced to explain and re-explain what the vaccine is, what it is used for, its composition and the usefulness of getting vaccinated, of vaccinating those close to them and the entire population,” adds the doctor.

The association takes care of the entire vaccination course, from the first injection to the delivery of the health pass.
