Modern and classical art, the value of which amounts to several million euros, will be shown for the first time in Bulgaria.
During more than a week’s stay in the English capital, the director Stiliyan Ivanov and the cameraman Miroslav Evdosiev filmed the most significant exhibits from the largest art fair held in England for 22 years – the London Art Fair. Over the course of a week, over 120 of the most elite British and global galleries and more than 1,000 authors presented their exhibitions and new works to nearly 30,000 visitors from around the world.
Due to the global crisis, discounts on the purchase of paintings and installations reached up to 20%, with more than 30 large deals realized daily.
During the fair, a series of forums were held where, through in-depth discussions with leading experts, visitors were encouraged to share and discuss their feelings about modern art.
Paintings, photographs, sculptures, collages, installation and video art were displayed at the London Art Fair, which was founded in 1988 and has been impressing the elite and art world in Britain for several decades. The exhibition aims to present contemporary and modern art and to bring together the work of old artists and new talents.
It’s not just the iconic works of this year’s London Art Fair that tvart viewers will be introduced to. Doors for the young Bulgarian television for art and tourism opened one of the most prestigious galleries on the island – the National Portrait Gallery. For hours, tvart teams had the opportunity not only to document the incredible interior architecture and arrangement of the collection, but also to capture close-up and high-resolution 100 of the best works, a gesture that is being done for the first time for a Bulgarian film crew.
Hundreds of works in ten more galleries will be able to be seen against the background of music specially composed for television. Since its launch 9 months ago, tvart broadcasts the best of Bulgarian and world galleries and museums, photography and ethnography, architecture and design, in the form of 100-second video clips without voice comments and narration. In addition to the digital packages of the cable operators, the program can also be viewed on the Internet at tvart.info
