The explosion took place around 11:00 p.m. (local time) in an ammunition depot in the city of Isafahan, in central Iran, and no fatalities have been confirmed so far.
The Iranian radio Farda has assured that the Iranian Ministry of Defense has attributed the explosion to an attack by three drones, one of which would have been shot down by the air defense system of the facilities, while the other two would have exploded after also being shot down. shot down, for which the authorities have defined it as a “failed attack”.
The fire caused by the explosion has not spread through the military installations and the Iranian authorities are currently investigating the causes of the incident.
