An arrow train driver left the office to go to the bathroom

A driver of a Japanese arrow train handed over the control of the conductor’s train in the middle of the road to visit the toilet as a matter of urgency, AFP reports.

The train employee’s action would have gone unnoticed if the train had not been one minute late from its schedule. And this immediately sparked an investigation in the Land of the Rising Sun, known for its meticulous accuracy.

The driver of the Japanese Shinkansen admitted that he left the train for a short time after feeling stomach upset, added BTA. He handed the control over to the conductor as he went to relieve himself.

The 160-passenger train was traveling at 150 kilometers per hour at the time. The driver was absent for only 3 minutes, which caused the final delay in the schedule. This prompted the bosses to investigate the case. In principle, if the driver feels a physiological need, he must be replaced on the move by another qualified driver, or stop the boom train on the spot, as a last resort at the nearest station.

The guilty employee was embarrassed to stop the train and resorted to the first deputy who came in handy.
