Thomas Delaine, the left side of FC Metz, would have agreed with the Alsatian club for a transfer this summer. Recruited by Strasbourg in April 2020, the youngster from the training center, Julien Lotombo, is targeted by Braga.
In the middle of the race for Europe in the championship, Racing is currently in sixth place. Three lengths from the podium, everything is still possible four days before the end of the exercise. Behind the scenes, it would already be activated to prepare for the next transfer window.
As revealed by the specialized media on Alsatian sport Alsa’Sports, RCSA leaders were interested in the profile of Thomas Delaine. The defender of FC Metz, who is coming to the end of his contract this summer, has been free to join the club of his choice since January 1. In Moselle, his club is currently a red lantern and risks no longer being in the top flight next season.
Holder at the left side position, the 29-year-old man is, according to information from the newspaper L’Equipe, very close to signing up with Racing. A necessary reinforcement for the Alsatian club in a position where the departure of Lionel Carole for Turkey had not really been overcome. This season, the RCSA evolves with Liénard or Caci as left piston.
Tracked by Braga
Not yet with the pros, some players are making their mark with the academy hoping to join the first team. Julien Lotombo is one of them. Arrived from US Camon (Regional 1) in April 2020, the young midfielder is captain of the Racing reserve team. But he is coming to the end of his pro trainee contract with the Alsatian club by this summer.
And that would trigger Braga’s greed in the Portuguese first division. Interested in the player’s versatile profile, capable of playing in central defense, the Portuguese club could be active in offering him his first professional contract before integrating him into the rotation. Information also advanced by the French sports daily.
With perhaps Europe at stake for Racing in the final sprint, the summer promises to be hot in Strasbourg.
