The investigators seized a luxury armored car and a small yacht, which were wanted as part of the case against businessman Rumen Gaitanski-Valka, BNT reported.
The luxury car, which is worth nearly a million euros, was found in the garage of Ahmed Dogan, released by the honorary leader of the DPS, in the Rosenets park in Burgas – the so-called Morski Sarai, the media claims. It has already been moved to a parking lot for seized cars in Burgas.
According to documents available to Mediapool, the boat was surrendered voluntarily. The sailing vessel is owned by the company “Green Partners”, which in the past belonged to Gaitanski.
The boat was placed on a trailer and securely fastened to it, according to the seizure report. Investigators were given a key. No other evidence was found. The doors and hatches of the boat were sealed.
The car was also voluntarily surrendered. And no evidence was found in it except for the car’s registration documents. It is clear from them that it was bought in 2017.
Gaitanski is in custody after he was wanted in a case for an unreturned loan from 2019 by his companies for 150 million BGN from the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB), but he appeared voluntarily. The case of the loan from the state bank has been going on for several years, but the prosecutor’s office, which had closed the investigation due to a lack of evidence, reopened it after the honorary leader of the DPS, Ahmed Dogan, who is close to Valka, and the movement’s co-chairman entered into a sharp conflict around Peevski’s attempts to control the party.
