An armed trump crowd outside the Phoenix polling center

A crowd of President Donald Trump’s supporters gathered outside the election center in Phoenix, Arizona. They demanded further counting of votes in this key state for the elections, local media reported. Some of the people were armed.

According to the “Arizona Republic” newspaper, protesters wanted to enter the building where votes are being counted. They also demanded that the alleged electoral irregularities be explained. There were reports in social media that voices filled with felt-tip pens were not counted.

The state attorney’s office promised to investigate. State authorities have ensured that all correctly completed cards are counted.

A number of protesters expressed indignation at a Fox News reporter who had previously recognized Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden’s victory in the state. Trump himself also criticized TV from the podium in the White House. As reported by “Arizona Republic”, after 10 pm local time (6 am Polish time) the crowd began to thin, but some people are still standing in front of the building.

Previously, similar scenes were observed in front of the polling station in Detroit, Michigan. There, a crowd of Trump supporters tried to break into the buildingby demanding to join the election observers already inside. People also demanded an end to counting votes.

The counting of votes in Arizona continues. After the first tranche of correspondence votes, calculated on Wednesday night, Biden’s advantage decreased from approx. 90 thousand. up to 79 thousand votes.

“Maricopa County Election Department staff will continue the work of the election administration in the second largest constituency in the county. We will publish the results later that night, as planned,” said the county authorities.
