An armed man attacked a hairdresser and barricaded himself in her salon in Veliko Tarnovo. The action took place this morning in one of the lively districts of the city, but ended only this evening after the police managed to get the kidnapper out unharmed.
The assailant, aged between 40 and 50, broke into the hairdressing studio around 9:30. According to unconfirmed information, she first fired a gun at the floor, then hit the hairdresser on the head with the weapon.
The victim managed to escape and hide in the entrance, from where she called 112. During that time, the kidnapper locked herself in. At nearly 10 a.m., the police’s attempts to persuade the barricade to unlock continued. It wasn’t until this evening that she was brought out unharmed.
According to unconfirmed information, the two women had accounts to settle, for which they are currently litigating. At this stage, the police are refusing to give details. The gunman was detained for questioning by the police. The victim has two stitches on her head and has already been released for home treatment.
