The fire was above the porch of this opulent building, to the left of the pharmacy. “The fire was dealt with by a spear, the large ladder was deployed only for reconnaissance”. On site, we noted the presence of two fire trucks with a ladder, a means of command, the national police and GRDF.
Four adults and four children were evacuated
At the height of the intervention, a second ladder was mobilized as a precaution but was not used. Four adults and four children were evacuated from the building and taken in for an assessment in an ambulance. A priori, no injuries are to be deplored.
The apartment was uninhabited but under construction and the exact circumstances of the fire are unknown at this stage. No relocation is planned. The emergency response is over, it remains to ventilate “the remaining smoke”.
