Oppo introduced the Zero-Power Tag at MWC 2023, which is similar to Apple’s AirTag. It is designed to search for lost items and track their location. If desired, the gadget can be switched to the humidity and temperature sensor mode.

The main competitive advantage of the Zero-Power Tag is the absence of a battery. Zero power technology allows the beacon from Oppo to extract electricity from the air. The innovative gadget uses radio signals from cell towers, smartphones, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as power sources.
The data collected by the tags is displayed in a proprietary smartphone applet. With the help of Zero-Power Tag, you can not only search for objects and monitor environmental conditions, but also track the movement of endangered birds.
The Zero-Power Tag is currently available in card form. In the future, a company from China plans to release a beacon in the form of a sticker. It can be pasted on various objects.
