The Chinese company Dongfeng has introduced a large electric SUV M-Hero 917. It will be produced under the Mengshi brand. The external “angularity” of the car gives it a competitor to the American GMC Hummer EV.
In addition to appearance, both cars have one more detail in common: the “Chinese hummer” is also equipped with support for the so-called “crab mode”. All four wheels of the SUV turn in the same direction at the same angle, due to which the car is able to overcome difficult off-road sections diagonally. In addition, this function can be useful when parallel parking in a limited urban space.
Dongfeng Mengshi M-Hero 917 built on the M-Tech platform. The car is equipped with four electric motors with a total output of 1000 HP. To “hundreds” the novelty accelerates in just 4.2 seconds. The range on a single battery charge for the M-Hero 917 is approximately 500 km.
The car is equipped with a third-level autopilot, as well as various driver assistance systems. The manufacturer of M-Hero 917 will be in Hubei province. It will go on sale soon, but the cost of the car hasn’t been announced yet.
