A couple living in a rented house were found poisoned. His wife died. Husband in care. Jayaprakash Narayanan (46) and AC Rama (44), a couple who lived in a rented house near the AKG club of the Koval store near the Kanhangad train station, were found poisoned.
The incident occurred at 5pm yesterday. Jayaprakash himself called the ambulance. People in the vicinity became aware of this when the ambulance arrived. Jayaprakash told locals that Rama had poisoned him and then consumed himself. Those who took him to the hospital said that he spoke in contradiction to each other.
Both are reported to be natives of Wayanad. They have lived in Kanhangad for seven years. The young man was taken to the district hospital and after initial treatment was transferred to Pariyaram Kannur Medical College.
