Authorities in Texas had to explain themselves after an Amber Alert featuring the Chucky doll was sent in error.
The alert, picked up by TMZ, indicated that Chucky had kidnapped his son Glen Ray, another character in the film saga, and that he had escaped armed with a large knife.
“The child, Glen, 5, 5 lbs, 2’3″, was last seen in Henderson, Texas, and the suspect, Chucky, 28, was wearing his infamous blue overalls and striped sweater. ” , could we read.
“The alert is due to an error in our system for testing. We are sorry for any confusion the situation may have caused and we will ensure that this does not happen again, ”the Texas Department of Public Safety told TMZ.
