Spanish actress Veronica Forke, who played Kika in Pedro Almodovar’s film of the same name, committed suicide at the age of 66, and her body was found in her home in Madrid, AFP reported.
Veronica Forke was one of the most popular actresses in Spanish cinema in the 1980s and 1990s. She is also known for her roles in Almodovar’s Matador and How I Deserved It.
“Goodbye Veronica Forke. I worked with her a few years ago and I remember a gentle and spirited woman and a very good partner. Rest in peace,” actor Antonio Banderas wrote on Twitter.
Veronica Forke is the daughter of director Jose Maria Forke and writer Carmen Vazquez-Vigo. She debuted in cinema under the direction of her father in the 70s of last century.
