An album of the most popular songs of “Līvu” has been re-released on the vinyl record

The album of the group’s most popular songs “Fear for the News”, released in 1997, has undergone a re-release – this time in vinyl format.

The 1997 album “Bailes par žinģēm” by the group “Līvi” is one of the most sought-after rock music albums in Latvia, which has received the “Platinum Disc” award from the Latvian Music Producers Association “LaMPA” for more than 15,000 copies of recordings made at that time. It was the first such award in the history of the Latvian music industry. Now this album is available on the vinyl record in the series “Latvian Rock Classics”. The company “MicRec” soon plans to sell other most valuable catalog entries, including other “Līvu” albums, which have been created since 1993. The new edition will also be available for purchase at the Līvi Song Festival, which will take place this Saturday, August 28, in Pāvilosta.

It is necessary to remind what songs are included in this record: “Fear of a Message”, “Zīlīte”, “Saldus Saule” (the voice of Ēriks Ķīgelis can be heard in its recording), “Eel Song”, “Song of Time”, “Message of Fear”, “Forgive Me ”,“ Wind Musician ”,“ Saint ”,“ Electric Fish ”and“ April Drops ”. Many fans of the group, as well as music professionals, believe that the composition of “Livu” of 1997 is one of the best ever, because Aivars Brīze (vocals), Ainars Virga (guitar, voice), Dainis Virga ( drums, voice), Thomas Klein (guitar, voice) and Jānis Grodums (bass, voice). In addition, this is the last record in which Aivars Brīze participated as a member of the group “Līvi”. During the release of the album “Fear of the Messengers”, the fans were very pleased that the songs written by the former leader of the group Eriks Ķigelis, which cannot be found elsewhere, can finally be found in one album. The only new composition in this album was the song “Sorry Me” written by Jānis Grodums and Guntars Račs.
