Sometimes only the left or right AirPods earbuds will stop working. Sometimes the problem is the connection, but it can be caused by a hardware fault. There are several things you can try to fix a non-working AirPod on your own.
How To Fix AirPods That Is Not Working – No Sound Make sure the AirPods charging case is fully charged. Place both AirPods in the charging case and close the cover. Let the AirPods charge for about 30 seconds. How to fix a non-working AirPods – low volume
Sometimes both AirPods play audio, but one has a noticeably lower volume than the other. You can resolve this issue by performing the following steps.
Check the microphone and speaker mesh on each AirPods. Clean the AirPods of any debris to see if that fixes the issue.
If that doesn’t solve the problem, then there is something else to try. Go to the Settings app, then Accessibility, Audio / Visual, and finally Balance. Make sure the slider is placed in the middle so that audio is transmitted equally to both AirPods.

There are a few other things we can try before determining if it is a hardware fault. First of all, forget your AirPods from the Bluetooth list on your iPhone or iPad.

Put the two AirPods back into the case and try to pair it again. Open the cover and press and hold the physical button on the case for a few seconds to enter pairing mode. Once paired, you need to check if both AirPods are working.
How to reset AirPods
Are you still unable to hear an AirPod that isn’t working? You can reset your AirPods, which erases each paired device and restores factory defaults. All you have to do is press the button on the front of the case for 15 seconds until the LED lights start flashing.
Reset network settings
Sometimes the problem is that too many Bluetooth devices are causing interference. If you have many Bluetooth devices connected to your iOS device, you may be having a connectivity issue. You will lose all your Bluetooth devices and WiFi passwords saved on your iOS device.
