An airplane passenger finds a snake under his seat

(CNN) – Although it looks like a Hollywood script, the authorities didn’t need the help of Samuel L. Jackson, star of the film “Snakes on a Plane”, when an airline passenger found a snake under his feet after arriving. Newark Liberty International Airport.

Police and operations employees met the plane at the gate on Monday afternoon “and removed the garden snake,” the New York and New Jersey Port Authority told CNN. She added that no one was injured.

One passenger on board told CNN affiliate News 12 The Bronx that “business class passengers started screaming and putting their feet up” as the plane rolled down the runway.

United Airlines tells CNN that crew members asked airport authorities for help “after being alerted by passengers” about the snake.

The flight was United 2038 from Tampa, according to the Port Authority. Unlike the 2006 film “Snakes on a Plane”, the incident did not affect airport operations.

According to North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, various types of garter snakes are often colloquially referred to as “garden snakes”. Snakes are not poisonous and, in fact, are usually found in gardens, where they help control pests.
