Four couples got married on Saturday on the iconic mountain spring Trolltunga 1100 meters above sea level in Hardanger.

The mayor of Ullensvang municipality, Roald Aga Haug, says NRK that he has had the idea of marrying someone on Trolltunga for years.
– Fantastic, for an adventure, says Njål-Stian Børdal just after giving Lise Lunde Sydnes her yes, Saturday.
Three other couples were also forged in the hymen’s chains on Saturday. The four thus became the first couples to get married on the mountain spring in Skjeggedal near Tyssedal in Ullensvang municipality.
Sydnes and Børdal had to go up by themselves, but not in a suit and wedding dress. It was transported by helicopter.
– It was a fantastic trip, says Sydnes.

The mayor also took a helicopter up to Trolltunga. He says that he got the idea for a wedding at Trolltunga in 2017.
– I think it went fantastically well, he says just after the first four weddings were completed.
– The atmosphere was magical and the weddings at Trolltunga itself were spectacular. The bride and groom walked in the morning about 10 kilometers in the high mountains to Trolltunga. It was a Hardanger adventure in the Tyssedal mountains, he says.
