The accident closed the Trakia highway between Karnobat and Yambol. The traffic stops on the old road through the village of Venets-Petolachkata-Zimnitsa, BNT reported.
The accident happened in the overtaking lane at 298 km in the direction of Sofia around 13.30 today, as the traffic was temporarily in the active lane. In a few minutes a kilometer-long queue forms in the area. There is still no information from the police in Burgas how many cars were involved in the accident and whether there were any injured people.
At around 17:00 the traffic was restored.
Today, the traffic in the direction of Sofia on the Trakia highway is intense because of those returning from the sea.
