An 8th participation in World Investor Week for the AMMC

The Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) is participating for the eighth consecutive year in World Investor Week, an international initiative launched by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) to promote financial education to the general public.

Created in October 2017, World Investor Week now brings together more than 100 countries around the world. The 2024 edition will highlight important topics such as investor resilience, fraud prevention, digital finance and sustainable finance.

Financial education, a key issue for mobilizing savings and protecting investors

As part of its 2024-2028 strategic plan, the AMMC considers financial education as an essential lever to strengthen and develop the capital market. The Authority is increasing initiatives to simplify and improve the understanding of concepts linked to this market.

• A national radio campaign, from October 14 to November 12, 2024, with educational and awareness messages broadcast on the country’s main stations.
• The creation of new educational materials, including an investor’s guide to UCITS and a brochure explaining protection measures for investors.
• The launch of the second edition of a comic book competition.
• Dissemination of awareness messages on social networks.

All content developed by the AMMC will be available on its social networks and website.
