An 18-year-old girl behind the wheel hit a father and two small children on a footpath in Sofia. When she was arrested, the drug test showed a positive sample, the Interior Ministry reports.
The incident took place last night in the center of Sofia. The man and a child were shot while crossing the pedestrian crossing, pushing bicycles.
A 4-year-old girl was hospitalized with hip and wrist fractures. Her father carried a baby on her back and he also fell in the impact, but both sustained minor injuries.
The 18-year-old driver was detained for 24 hours and preliminary proceedings were initiated against him.
The injured father told BTV that before crossing the zebra crossing, he and the child waited to be seen, but the car did not stop.
